Sewing
I learned to sew on my grandmother’s 1945 Singer when I was five and bought my own machine when I was eighteen. Since then I’ve been drafting patterns for and sewing garments, bags, stuffed animals, and pillows. I source nearly all of my fabric second hand, and I enjoy re-purposing existing garments. I love vintage inspired designs. I often incorporate my other crafts, like stamp carving or embroidery, into my work.
My most recent project was this jacket. I pattern ripped a friend's deadstock 90s Express jacket. I dyed canvas for the perfect shade of red. This was my first jacket.

My jacket next to the original.
I think of these as my Walthamstow skirts, named after the stamp carving they feature that I made inspired by the mural along the Victoria line at Walthamstow station. These were both original patterns.

I love designing and creating bags. Below is my favorite creation, my medieval revival bag.

This is a bag I designed to sell under Skipped Skitchh, the first one was repurposed from a jacket I no longer wore and the others were made from fabrics found at estate sales.

back pocket!
Some more various bags I've made.

I loved the paper sac my grapes came in- so I made a pattern from it.
Used various parts of two old jackets for this one

These old wool trousers were too large and full of moth holes, so I turned them into a dress.

Eggplant pillows!
Pattern by me.
